Meeting Butler County, Ohio

Image
I was invited to spend a long weekend in Butler County, Ohio, just after they became Wheel The World certified for accessibility. The tourism board wanted me to write about how wheelchair accessible the region is. I hadn’t been there before, and it sounded like an interesting area, so I made plans to go. My trip to Butler County turned out to be one of my most unusual adventures, with new experiences, and a lot of donuts!   I brought Teddy and my friend, Heather, along for the ride, about three and a half hours from home. We had a nice welcome basket waiting for us at the hotel. Our home base was the Marriott Cincinnati North in Westerville. I was happy at the start with a flat entrance and automatic doors. They didn’t have any accessible rooms, so we had two connecting rooms. Teddy loved going back and forth between the two rooms. Mine had plenty of space for me to wheel around, a well-equipped desk area I could reach, and a large bathroom with a shower chair. The handheld was...

A Year of Dosh

Image
When I was approached by Dosh a year ago to be an influencer for them I really had no idea what the app was going to be about and whether it would even be around a year later. I was certainly wrong. The Dosh app has been extremely successful and my year of helping it grow has come to an end. It’s certainly not going to be the end of my relationship with Dosh.  Like all of you can, I’ll continue to get cash back through the easy to use application, as well as referral fees (right now they are giving $15 for each friend you recommend). I look at the application often because I never know what deals are running in addition to the referral bonuses. This weekend, for example, you can get 10% cash back on everything you purchase at Sam’s Club through Dosh. I know a lot of people already have a bunch of cash back applications on their computers and phones. I definitely do. There are a lot of other good ones, such as Mr. Rebates and Ebates, but the fact is that you do...

Get Ready for Spring with a Windfall of Cash

Image
Who isn’t looking for extra cash? Bills come in everyday, but how often does money? Here’s one way to fatten your bank account, and it doesn’t involve weight-loss fads, clothing and jewelry pyramid schemes, or convincing your friends their eyelashes aren’t long enough. In the months up until now, I’ve been talking about earning some cash back by using the Dosh application. Once you sign up, enter your credit card, and make a purchase in a store or restaurant, you can get a few dollars back with Dosh . Last month , I even discussed how I had not only earned $30 (with the $25 bonus you get for your first hotel booking), but I was able to get a great last minute deal on a hotel while I waited for the American Airlines agent to get my boarding ticket for the next day printed. Since that time, I’ve been hearing a lot of something else people are doing with Dosh – making big bucks through their referral program. This isn’t $30 or $40 a month, this can be thousands of...

Easy Cash in Your Bank Account

Image
Honestly, there is no shortage of apps out there to help you earn cash. Some of them have been around for years and, yes, you can get money from them. The problem is that “earn” is the key word. Most of them make you work hard to get a little money back. There are rebate forms to fill out, receipts to worry about, codes to remember, or cookies to clog up on your computer.   Dosh is different. While you can definitely get some great deals on shopping, vacations, restaurants, and activities by clicking through on one of the fantastic offers on the Dosh app , you don’t have to work to earn money with this app. You can receive cash back with Dosh by just living your life, spending money on things you always do. With Dosh, you simply and safely link your credit and debit cards to the application. Then, every time you use it at a place that works with Dosh , money is automatically deposited in your account! No need to remember which places give you money and which don’t...
